Lee Hazlelumber wrote three of the songs. Not the Lovin' Kind is cool jazz with an upideal walking bass, electrical guitar responses and a sensual melody. The Shadow of Your Smile is a typical via a lazy mood. The duet Sand has allegorical lyrics, lust and Asian affect. Billy Starray carried out the orchestra and also provided it a jazzy arrangement. The title track is a sneaky split song. The Sonny and Cher cover Bang Bang gets a guitar via heavy reverb. Her vocal style alternates between intimate and burlesque.

That could be the finest phrase ever! And she looks so cute as soon as she states that in the music video too. What a smile! And such a fun song! One of my favorites by Nancy for sure.Overall this album has some boring moments which consists of the two opening tracks. But various other than that, it's good 60's sunshine pop the remainder of the way! Which implies this is a heck of the majority of fun to listen to.There's more than one method to skin a cat you know... Growwwlll!!Bye Bye!
Annoying fake stereo on the CD - downmix it to mono.Nancy has actually done this for the iTunes rematered release also.

This is an album that I could just relax to, it's her finest work-related.
Nancy Sinatra is great as always: there's something about her songs that renders me listen even more and also even more. There's a perfect combination of fun and melancholy, sassiness and also sadness!
In spite of the reality that this album does not really encompass any of her biggest successes, it manages to be classy as well as original. A versatile mixture: a bit of jazz, a bit of pop, and the camp element is current in a very positive manner - however it´s really not camp, just on the verge of it. Stylish stuff all the way, and some exciting bonus tracks. Elegant versions of Let It Be Me and also Bang Bang - very different from the versions by Sonny and Cher . The best songs: Time, Sand also.

Hazletimber produced album which isn't all it could be. A few of the non-Hazletimber penned numbers are a bit uninteresting, and a pair of the Hazlewood ones are insufficiently various attempts at making "Boots II". I think Hazlehardwood had better collaborators; I prefer the version of "Sand" through Suzi Jane Hokum, and the album on which that shows up has even more fun manufacturing anyway; it's odd, but they seem to be working with a smaller sized budobtain on this one, which sucount can't be right. The stripped dvery own numbers that framework the document are in some ways the the majority of exciting (though not necessarily the most pleasurable, exactly). Still, it's not a bad spin.
